Arlo Guthrie - “Chilling of the Evening” [Live at The Guthrie Center]

We are back with another featured song, and this week we have chosen Arlo Guthrie’s “Chilling of the Evening”, from the album Alice’s Restaurant: The Massacree Revisited!

For its 30th anniversary, Arlo re-recorded the “Alice’s Restaurant” album in its entirety, recording it live at The Church in 1996. The song, “Chilling of the Evening” was written by Arlo and debuted on “Alice’s Restaurant” in 1967. This version, played at The Church, was produced by Arlo and Abe Guthrie; featuring Terry A La Berry on drums, Sean Hurley on bass, Steve Ide and David Grover on guitar, and Abe Guthrie on Keyboards.
