Arlo Guthrie - Which Side
Welcome back! For this week’s featured song, we dove into the album “Outlasting the Blues” and chose Arlo Guthrie - “Which Side”!
“Which Side” made its debut October 12th, 1979, on the release of “Outlasting the Blues”. This is the second album Arlo recorded with the band Shenandoah, the first being “One Night”, released in 1978. The hallmarks of this album are tight vocals and harmonies and fabulous picking and playing of all involved. These components are on display in this track which was written by Arlo. Shenandoah includes David Grover on guitars and vocals, Dan Velika on bass, guitar and vocals, Steve Ide on guitars and vocals, Carol Ide on percussion and vocals, and Terry "A la Berry" Hall on drums, marimba and vocals.
