Power of Love
Happy Valentine's Day everyone, in honor of this day, we have chosen “Power of Love” as our song of the week!
This song was the title track for Arlo’s 1981 album, produced by John Pilla. The track “Power of Love” features Dean Parks on electric guitar, Jim Horn on recorder, the vocals of Phil Everly, and was written by T-Bone Burnett.
One of the highlights of this track was Arlo getting the opportunity to collaborate with Phil Everly, one half of the renowned duo The Everly Brothers. Arlo had long been an admirer of Everly's work, having drawn significant inspiration from The Everly Brothers' music for his own. Thus, the chance to work alongside and record with Phil Everly was a truly momentous moment for Arlo. The experience undoubtedly provided invaluable insights and served as a testament to Arlo's own musical journey and accomplishments.
